Showcasing Morse Power in NZ at 2015 Connection Suppliers Expo

There’s nothing quite like getting together with around a thousand people who speak your language… and that was exactly the atmosphere at the 2015 Annual Connection Suppliers Expo held in New Zealand from Oct 6-8.

Morse Power set up a stand alongside our colleagues and NZ distributors Stewart and Cavalier and really didn’t know what we were in for. The first couple of days were exceptional; lineworkers from all companies visited our tent and were inspired by our product range. Products like the pole stands, ampact wedge removal tool and the lifting davit were among the most popular for their efficiency, ease of use and safety rating.

The Cable Jointer competition and the Line Mechanic cup were major highlights of the expo. Watching the competition highlighted how exposed to danger these men and women really are and showed us the importance of continually working to improve safety and manual handling techniques.

Aside from the atmosphere and the competition, our favourite and most inspirational part of the expo was getting the opportunity to chat with lineworkers who are in the field daily. It is through these conversations, throwing around ideas and hearing first hard the hardships that they face, that we are inspired and able to create products that really matter.

By the last day of the expo the Morse Power brand had set in and we were thrilled to then be visited by managers, team leaders and procurement officers who had come to see the product range that their lineworkers had reported to them. Needless to say we have more reasons to come and visit this great country!

Congratulations Connexis for a fantastic event. It would be great to see something like this in Australia. But until then we will definitely be in attendance again next year!
